I hate it as well i think it totally kills the atmosphere.

In a second one the enemies will come in and check one of the lockers pray it s not yours and then leave. Go past the generator and through the door on the right by the stairs.

Press lock all doors to lock them again. Press unlock all doors to unlock all doors. But then i saw a post stating that it is possible closing the doors gently. First turn right when you can and take two batteries from the locker in the room.

Select your outlastlauncher exe find some common directories below press decompress and wait this will take a while depending on your pc. From the main terminal turn left and go towards the door on the wall in front of you. You ll find the first pump so start it and hide in a locker. Turn on the 2 gas pumps and the main breaker to restart the generator.

Try to open the door and a patient will open the door then slam it and unlock the double doors inside the room then dash outside. If it s already half way open then i can close it slowly but if i opened it all the way then the character just slams it. Hide and umtil he goes and checks one of the lockers.
